John Scarinci

About the Author

John Scarinci is a former collegiate baseball player and sports media professional. His debut novel, Martian Baseball League, was inspired by his fascination with space documentaries and a lifelong passion for baseball. Blending his knowledge of baseball with a sense of cosmic wonder, he imagines how the game might evolve if played on Mars. 

The book is a mix of STEM-based fiction, sports adventure, and real planetary science—written to inspire kids who love space or baseball (or both). It includes accurate science about Mars’ gravity, atmosphere, and physics, woven into a fun story about teamwork, friendship, and problem-solving.

A full-time writer and editor, John is also the founder of the ProfessorBaseball social media account which features fun and educational content about baseball.
